The Santa Cruz Tallboy 4 takes a typical XC bike to a whole new level, with a streamlined design mimicking their longer travel bikes to allow you to really open up the taps shredding the trails. With slightly increased travel (130mm front, 120mm rear) and geometry sharing the same principles as Santa Cruz's longest travel travel bikes, this bike feels just as at home on cross country trails as it does on more extreme trails, making it a real all rounder thanks to a responsive and lightweight back end as well as having super-efficient suspension. Santa Cruz's own VPP suspension design works on the principle of having two links rotating in opposite directions connecting the front and rear triangles to create an extremely robust chassis. The Tallboy has relatively short chainstays to give the ride a lively and playful feel, while a reasonably low bottom bracket for low centre of gravity and 29 inch wheels make the bike super fast rolling and stable. This carbon frame of this model is super lightweight adding further to the nimble feel of the bike as you fly up climbs and allow narrow single track, with carbon handlebars further reducing the weight and taking up a little more of the shock from rough trails. The CC XX1 model boasts a SRAM XX1 drivetrain; super efficient shifting, weather ignorant performance and incredibly light weight, the XX1 is one of the finest drivetrains on the market. 12 speeds and a wide gearing ratio, you'll fly up the climbs and down the descents. Santa Cruz Reserve carbon rims are super light and stiff, giving you the extra edge when climbing. Front suspension is provided by RockShox Pike Ultimate forks, with Fox Float Factory shock at the rear.
